Kenneth Brian Associates are working with an SME business based in Chessington who are looking for Assistant Accountant / Assistant Management Accountant to join their team in Surrey.
This is a fulltime office-based role within a supportive team. Ideal for someone within 3-4 years of experience who wants broad exposure across Finance.


Key Responsibilities:
Finance Operations
*Post bank transactions and complete daily bank reconciliations.
*Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns.
*Maintain prepayments and the fixed asset register.
*Post stock and overhead invoices (automation incoming) and run twice-monthly payment runs.
*Set up supplier and customer accounts; perform credit checks as needed.
*Manage credit control end-to-end.
*Reconcile supplier and customer statements (including online portals).
*Support sales invoicing and stock item set-up in the accounting system.
*Produce ad-hoc reports and support month-end.
Operations & Support
*Manage staff expenses and mileage (approval, review, posting) and maintain the expenses portal.
*Handle the shared finance inbox and resolve supplier/customer queries.
*Co-ordinate the company vehicle fleet.
*Provide general support to Service and Sales and carry out tasks for the Financial Controller as required.


Qualification and Skills:
*Bachelor’s degree – Accounting and finance
*Full or Part qualification in AAT or CAT
*Part qualification in ACCA, CIMA, or ACA or QBE
*Intermediate level in excel and word
*Good communication and organisational skills
*Good computer skills
