Right Now Group are looking for an Export Operator to work for our client based in Egham, located just walking distance from Egham Train Station. This is a great opportunity to join a close-knit team in a friendly office environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing export shipments from start to finish, with the business handling 90% Air Export and 10% Road Export. The role involves ensuring compliance with UK HMRC regulations, maintaining excellent communication with shippers, clients, and overseas agents, and accurately completing all documentation. The company exports a wide range of goods including aerospace, marine spares, e-commerce, and healthcare shipments. Experience using systems such as Descartes or Cargo Forwarder is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.

*Hours: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30 (office based)
*Salary: Up to £38,000
*Location: Egham
Responsibilities of an Export Operator
*Handling export shipments from start to finish, including arranging collections, booking with airlines/hauliers, preparing documentation, monitoring shipments post-flight, and completing final billing.
*Producing and processing export entries in line with UK HMRC regulations.
*Uploading all shipping documents and PODs into the freight management system.
*Communicating effectively with shippers, clients, and overseas agents to ensure smooth and timely movement of goods.
*Maintaining accurate job files, invoicing, and cost control.
*Responding promptly to client and agent queries, resolving issues efficiently and professionally.

Key Skills Required - Export Operator
*Previous experience in export operations within a freight forwarding environment.
*Knowledge of export documentation and UK HMRC procedures.
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*High attention to detail and accuracy.
*Proactive approach to problem-solving and customer service.
*Ability to adapt quickly to changing customer requirements.
*Full 5-year referenceable history (required for aviation security clearance).
