Description
The Legal Counsel (Data Protection & Compliance) will:
*Provide legal advice on privacy and data protection matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
*Be instrumental in supporting the marketing teams with regards privacy implications within creative campaigns.
*Draft, review, and negotiate data protection and privacy-related contracts and agreements.
*Develop and implement policies, procedures, and training related to data protection and privacy.
*Conduct impact assessments and advise on risk management strategies.
*Manage the compliance frameworks.
*Draft and implement new compliance policies.
*Support on competition matters.
*Monitor and interpret changes in laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
*Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address data protection concerns and support business objectives.


Profile
A successful Legal Counsel (Data Protection & Compliance) will be/have:
*A qualified solicitor in England & Wales
*Strong background in legal practice, with a focus on privacy and data protection law.
*Proven experience in advising on regulatory compliance within the business services industry.
*A solid understanding of relevant data protection laws, including GDPR, PECR.
*Solid corporate compliance understanding.
*Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
