Job Title: Senior Electronics Design Engineer
Location: Greater Manchester (Hybrid – 4 days onsite)
Salary: Up to £75k (DOE)

We are looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer to lead a Hardware and Electronics Development team. You will play a key role in the development of next-generation electronic systems, supporting products from concept through to manufacture. This position combines hands-on design work with team leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
*Design electronic hardware including schematic capture and PCB layout
*Deliver product development projects from concept through to production
*Lead day-to-day activities of a small engineering team
*Interpret project requirements and communicate deliverables clearly
*Collaborate with cross-functional teams including technology, operations, and manufacturing
*Identify and evaluate new technologies for future product development
*Support prototyping, testing, and new product introduction (NPI)
*Produce and manage design documentation, BOMs, and technical reports
*Ensure compliance with quality standards (e.g. ISO9001)
*Provide regular progress updates to senior leadership
About You
*Degree in Electronics Engineering or related discipline
*Minimum 5+ years’ experience in electronic hardware design
*Strong experience with schematic capture and PCB design (Altium preferred)
*Experience testing electronic components and assemblies
*Background in Digital, analogue, and microcontroller-based systems
*Proficient with communication protocols (e.g. LTE, Ethernet, CAN, I2C)
*Understanding of the full product development lifecycle
*Experience supporting manufacturing and NPI activities
*Comfortable working in a hands-on technical role
*Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
*Experience leading or mentoring engineers
