Job Description:
Protective Orders Co-ordinator
Location: Fareham
Working pattern: Office-based (with limited travel across Hampshire as required)
Hours: 37 hours per week (or part-time 30 hours per week considered)
Contract length: Temporary assignment until March 2027
Hourly rate:£17.42 PAYE + holiday pay and benefits
Vetting: NPPV Level 3
A law enforcement organisation based in Hampshire is seeking a Protective Orders Co-ordinator to join the Offender Management Hub. This role plays a vital part in protecting victims and managing risk by ensuring the effective identification, application, recording, and enforcement of protective (ancillary) orders.
You will act as a subject matter expert, supporting officers and staff to ensure orders are applied correctly, recorded accurately, and monitored effectively—helping to drive excellence in safeguarding and offender management.
Please note: This role focuses specifically on Stalking Protection Orders (SPOs), Sexual Risk Orders (SROs) and Sexual Harm Prevention Orders (SHPOs). It does not include work on Violent Offender Orders, Forced Marriage Protection Orders, or Domestic Violence Protection Notices / Orders.
Key Responsibilities
*Promote the appropriate and effective use of SPOs, SROs and SHPOs across Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary
*Act as a subject matter expert on protective order applications, providing advice, completing applications, and liaising with Force Legal Services to ensure submissions are right first time
*Ensure high-quality and accurate recording of protective orders on RMS Niche and other relevant systems
*Risk assess all new and incoming protective orders, escalating concerns via electronic tasking and operational meetings where required
*Proactively identify live cases where protective orders may be appropriate and either progress applications or task officers with follow-up support
*Monitor and identify breaches of protective orders and ensure appropriate action is taken
*Collate and maintain statistical and performance data relating to protective orders
*Develop and deliver training or guidance to improve understanding and consistent use of protective orders
*Act as a point of escalation for issues relating to the identification, monitoring and enforcement of orders
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively
*Experience working in a busy office or operational environment
*Ability to analyse information, assess risk, and provide clear guidance to officers and staff
*Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records
*Competent IT skills, including Word, Excel, and database systems
Desirable
*Experience using police systems such as RMS Niche, PNC or PND
*Previous experience within policing, or another criminal justice or law-enforcement agency
*Background in offender management, safeguarding, intelligence, or operational support
Additional Requirements
*Ability to travel across Hampshire as required
*Compliance with information management, data protection, and information security policies
*Successful completion of NPPV Level 3 vetting
