Due to continued expansion, they are looking to appoint a Semi Senior Accountant to join their friendly and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual looking to build on their experience within a practice environment and take the next step in their career.
The RoleWorking closely with senior accountants, you will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely and high-quality accounting and tax support across a diverse client base. You will also play an important role in coaching and supporting junior members of the team.
Key Responsibilities Include:
*Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders and limited companies
*Reconciling profit & loss accounts and balance sheets
*Completing corporation tax returns
*Preparing self-assessment tax returns
*Producing quarterly Making Tax Digital (MTD) income tax submissions
*Providing guidance and support to junior colleagues
*Using a range of accounting systems including Sage, Xero, QuickBooks and IRIS
About YouThe ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-focused, and confident working in a fast-paced practice environment.
You will have:
*2-3 years’ experience within a UK accountancy practice (required)
*AAT qualification
*Excellent organisational and time management skills
*Strong competency across multiple accounting software packages
*The ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines effectively
