Job Description:
Finance Manager (6-Month Contract)
Salary: £45,000–£55,000
Chalk Hill Group are supporting an established SME, based in Basingstoke, in their search for a hands-on Finance Manager to support a busy finance function within a small, collaborative team. Reporting to the Finance Director, you’ll play a key role in financial processing, reporting, and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
*Prepare and issue accurate invoices
*Review customer contracts for correct financial treatment
*Conduct cost centre analysis and monitor performance
*Manage purchase ledger and supplier reconciliations
*Handle credit control and maintain cash book
*Support preparation of management accounts to trial balance
*Use Xero for daily accounting and reporting
*Provide financial insights to senior leadership
Skills & Experience:
*Strong attention to detail and accuracy
*Solid understanding of accounting principles
*Experience with Xero or similar systems
*Good analytical and organisational skills
*Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
