Reed Recruitment is currently recruiting for two Customer Service Assistants to join a long-established building society in Preston. Focused on making a difference to the community; this organisation is proud to have been providing mortgages and savings products to their customers for over 100 years.
What you’ll do as a Customer Service Assistant ...
*Welcome customers into the branch and deliver outstanding face to face customer service.
*Assist customers with day-to-day queries relating to their account (savings, mortgage, digital), building strong relationships along the way.
*Work to policies and procedures and ensure alignment with regulations and risk management.
This role would be ideal for someone who describes themselves as ... focused on delivering excellent customer service and is comfortable working with people face to face. Experience working with compliance and regulations would be beneficial. Previous experience is not essential to apply for this position as you’ll benefit from the organisation’s 6-month training programme.
Salary, Hours & Benefits
*£24,000 per annum (rising to £25,000 per annum as of 1st May 2026 – Real Living Wage employer)
*36.25 hours per week | Monday to Friday 9:30am – 5pm (9:30am – 3pm customer facing / 3pm – 5pm administrative time)
*Saturdays on a rota basis 9am – 12pm (time back in lieu)
*27 days annual leave + bank holidays | Plus, your birthday off, a celebration day and additional days off (e.g. for moving home)
