Paint Line Operative (Powder Coating)
Location: Buntingford, Hertfordshire
Salary: £13.50 per hour | 40 hrs/week | Shifts: Monday to Friday |Early / Lates Rotating
Contract: Temp-to-Perm


We’re recruiting a Paint Line Operative to join a busy powder coating department. This is a hands-on role supporting the paint line to hit production targets while maintaining excellent quality and safe working practices.


What you’ll be doing
*Preparing parts for coating (cleaning/degreasing, masking/plugging as required)
*Hanging/racking parts onto jigs and loading/unloading the conveyor line
*Supporting powder coating processes (booth housekeeping and powder handling once trained)
*Monitoring line flow and curing ovens, reporting any issues or defects
*Carrying out visual quality checks (coverage, finish, colour, contamination) and recording results
*Packing/labelling finished components to job card/customer requirements
*Keeping the work area clean and following all site H&S procedures


What we’re looking for
Essential:
*Previous experience in a production/manufacturing environment (powder coating/paint line experience is a strong advantage)
*Good attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions
*Reliable, punctual and able to work in a fast-paced environment
*Comfortable with manual handling and standing/walking for long periods
*Basic literacy/numeracy for paperwork, labels and checks


Desirable:
*Powder coating line experience (hanging, masking, prep, inspection)
*FLT licence (Counterbalance/Reach)
*
