Hybrid | South West to Central South England | Up to £60,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance


This is an opportunity to join a growing financial planning business with a modern approach to advice, built around goals based financial planning and cashflow modelling. The business is continuing to grow and is focused on delivering high quality client outcomes, strong advice standards, and a consistent service experience.
The role would suit an experienced financial planning professional with a strong understanding of adviser development, competency oversight, and advice standards. It offers a varied position across training, coaching, competency assessment, and performance improvement, with the chance to work closely with Financial Planners and other teams across the business.


The role
Working as a Training & Competence Supervisor, you would play a key role in supporting adviser performance and development across the business.
The role combines training delivery, one to one coaching, structured feedback, competency reviews, and process improvement. You would work alongside Financial Planners, as well as teams across Distribution, Operations, and Risk & Compliance, helping to ensure high standards are maintained and best practice is shared.
This is a hybrid role, with attendance required at the office closest to you two days per week. There will also be travel across the South West to Central South England for meetings and team collaboration. This is a full time, permanent, FCA approved role.


Key responsibilities
*Design and deliver training, coaching, and development sessions for Financial Planners and support staff
*Hold regular one to one sessions, providing structured and actionable feedback
*Carry out competency reviews, performance assessments, and outcome testing
*Use data to identify trends and recommend improvements to performance and training
*Work closely with other teams to support consistency, standards, and performance alignment
*Support business projects, including integration of new businesses and new hires
*Encourage peer learning and contribute to a strong culture of continuous improvement


What they are looking for
*Diploma qualified in Financial Planning
*J07 desirable
*Experience within financial advice or wealth management
*A strong understanding of adviser development, performance standards, and regulated environments
*Confidence delivering training, coaching, and feedback
*Ability to use data to identify areas for improvement
*Strong communication, organisation, and cross functional working skills


Package and benefits
*Salary up to £60,000
*£5,000 car allowance
*Yearly bonus based on company and personal performance, up to 10%
