Job Description:
Branch Assistant
*Job Type: Full-time Monday to Friday 07:30-17:00
*Location: Croydon
*Salary: £29K
We are seeking a Branch Assistant for a client of ours who is IT literate, numerically skilled, and possesses excellent communication abilities, including a good telephone manner. The ideal candidate will have previous office administration experience. Familiarity with Xero is beneficial, though comprehensive training will be provided. This role requires occasional travel to other branches and may involve heavy lifting.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Processing orders and handling invoicing.
*Conducting banking transactions.
*Running weekly and monthly reports.
*Chasing outstanding accounts and managing petty cash.
*Answering the telephone and dealing with customer inquiries.
*Providing cover for other branches as needed.
*Assisting with deliveries and occasional onsite work, which may involve heavy lifting.
*Providing cover on Saturdays as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven office administration experience.
*Strong IT and numeric skills.
*Excellent communication skills and a good telephone manner.
*Experience with Xero is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided.
*Ability to travel to other branches and provide Saturday cover as needed.
*Experience in the Garage Door/Construction industry is desirable.
*Clean driving licence – a maximum of 3 points is acceptable.
