The Role
We are recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to drive new product and programme introduction, as well as operational and method improvements across the business.
*Drive continuous improvement and embed this into day-to-day operations
*Implement new manufacturing methods to deliver sustainable business benefits
*Establish and maintain system policies associated with product lead times
*Ensure WIP is managed effectively to meet business requirements
*Support manufacturing activities both internally and externally
*Act as a focal point to ensure production and new products are delivered as required
*Lead and participate in lean initiatives
*Support inventory policies including FIFO, returnable containers, and WIP reduction
*Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and legislative requirements
*Work in line with company goals to support overall business objectives
*Carry out any other duties as required


About You
*Technical knowledge of modern manufacturing methods
*Knowledge of machine tools and manufacturing processes
*Ability to challenge existing processes and drive improvement
*Understanding of materials management theories, processes, and practices
*Ability to work across all levels with both customers and internal teams
*Knowledge of CAD/CAM and CNC programming
*Strong leadership approach to support planning and operations processes
*Experience within aerospace is advantageous but not essential
*Proven ability as a change champion
*Good Microsoft Office skills
