Our client is looking to strengthen their finance capability by recruiting a proactive part Qualified Accountant who will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day and strategic financial operations of the organisation. Working closely with the Finance Controller, this position contributes to the delivery of accurate financial information.

Responsibilities
*Preparation of monthly management accounts
*Variance analysis and all related month-end adjustments including accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and provisions.
*Prepare short- and long-term cash flow forecasts, ensuring accuracy of financial planning information for leadership.
*Manage quarterly VAT submissions.
*Oversee payroll reconciliations for several group entities and ensure financial data aligns with internal reporting requirements.
*Take a key role in the completion of year-end accounts and coordinate with external auditors throughout the audit process.
*Produce monthly reporting packs and financial insights used in senior management meetings.
*Provide financial input and analysis
*Undertake daily banking duties and provide absence cover to ensure smooth operation of the wider finance function.
*Respond to ad-hoc requests from management and proactively seek ways to streamline and enhance finance processes.


Experience & Knowledge
*Part-qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA status (or working towards).
*Strong organisational skills and the ability to think strategically from the outset.
*Excellent communicator
*High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
*Comfortable working to strict deadlines and managing multiple priorities.
*Commercial awareness and a proactive mindset.
*Strong Excel capability, with an interest in improving systems and processes.
