Job Description:
Role: SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - September Start
Pay: £100.00-£110.00 per day
Location- Epping, Essex
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive school environment from September. This rewarding role involves working 1:1 with a student with ASD, providing tailored support to help them access learning and thrive in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
*Provide consistent 1:1 support for a student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
*Assist with classroom activities, adapting resources to meet individual needs
*Support the student’s social, emotional, and behavioural development
*Assist with personal care where required, maintaining dignity and respect at all times
*Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies
Requirements:
*Recent, relevant experience supporting children with SEN, particularly ASD (essential)
*A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
*Up-to-date safeguarding training (essential)
*A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
