My client is launching a new 3-bed children’s home in Swadlincote, South Derbyshire, and are seeking an experienced and ambitious Registered Manager to lead the service through registration and into operation.
This is a genuine leadership opportunity – not just a management role. They are open to candidates with experience in: EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties) LD (Learning Disabilities) Dual-experience managers The final registration pathway will align with the successful candidate’s experience and Ofsted track record.

This is a new setup with strengthened governance, structured compliance oversight and long-term growth plans. The successful candidate will have the opportunity for: Dual registration progression Development pathway toward Responsible Individual (RI) Opportunity to become an in-house trainer. Strategic input into future service expansion
They Are Looking For Someone Who:
Has recent experience as a Registered Manager in a children’s home (Deputy Managers ready to step up will be considered) Holds Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare Has strong knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 Has a proven Ofsted track record (Good or above preferred) Is confident leading a home through registration Can recruit, lead and develop a high-performing team Is commercially aware and understands occupancy, referrals and sustainability Holds a Full UK Driving Licence
Responsibilities Will Include: Leading Ofsted registration process Building and managing the full staff team Embedding a strong safeguarding culture Delivering high-quality care and outcomes Managing budgets and operational performance Working closely with Directors and RI to ensure compliance and growth This is an opportunity to join a provider at the beginning of its growth journey and play a central role in shaping its future.
