Industry: ConstructionA successful and well-established construction business based in Liverpool City Centre is looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join their friendly, close-knit Finance team.

The RoleAs the Management Accountant, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate, timely financial information and supporting the overall financial control of the business. You’ll work closely with both Finance and Operational teams, providing insight, analysis and ensuring financial processes run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities*Production and support of monthly management accounts
*Preparation of accruals, prepayments, and journal entries
*Balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining accurate ledgers
*Processing supplier invoices, payments, and expenses
*Overseeing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations
*Managing CIS submissions, subcontractor verification and associated reporting
*Supporting cashflow forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
*Assisting with year-end processes and working with external accountants
*Monitoring project costs and working closely with operational teams
*Providing ad-hoc financial reporting and support to the Finance Manager
What We’re Looking For*Experience in a Management Accountant or senior finance role
*Strong understanding of VAT, CIS and general accounting principles (construction experience preferred but not essential)
*Good analytical skills and attention to detail
*Confident with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
*Positive, proactive attitude and a team-focused approach
