CNC Operator – Southend-on-Se
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our client’s Machine Shop team in Southend-on-Sea. In this role, you will be responsible for manufacturing high-precision, small-batch aerospace components. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with CNC machining experience who takes pride in producing quality work and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Manufacture a variety of small-batch aerospace components using horizontal and vertical machining centres, working from engineering drawings and adhering to tight tolerances.
*Use a range of measuring equipment to inspect components after manufacture.
*Complete all tasks allocated by the Supervisor in an efficient and timely manner.
*Maintain high standards of housekeeping and contribute to a safe working environment.
*Support colleagues with additional tasks as required.
*Follow all Health & Safety procedures and help maintain a safe working environment.
*Complete final drilling operations on machined components within tight limits.
*Deburr and pack machined components to the required standard.
*Carry out other reasonable tasks across Manufacturing areas, including Assembly, Machine Shop, and Fabrication.
Experience & Skills
Essential
*Previous experience operating CNC machinery.
*Ability to read both metric and imperial engineering drawings and use measuring equipment accurately.
*Competent and safe deburring of metallic components.
*Computer literate with a methodical approach to work.
*Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
*Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
