The Role
The Strategic Buyer will be responsible for:
*Supporting procurement across several manufacturing sites
*Managing supplier relationships and defined sub-categories of spend
*Handling project-based, short lead-time purchasing, expediting and supplier coordination
*Carrying out market and supplier research
*Supporting cost analysis and identifying alternative suppliers or sourcing options
*Working closely with internal stakeholders to keep projects and production on track


The Organisation
Nigel Wright Group are working with a market-leading Manufacturer to recruit a Strategic Buyer into their Purchasing Team.
They will support hybrid working -1 day per week home-working.
About You
The successful Strategic Buyer will be/ have:
*Experience or exposure within manufacturing or engineering environments
*Familiarity with direct materials
*Someone adaptable, organised and comfortable juggling multiple workstreams
*High learning capacity, strong work ethic, and genuine appetite to develop
*The confidence to question existing supply routes as experience grows
