Year 4 Class Teacher – Primary School (Watford)
Start Date: September 2026
We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and inspiring Year 4 Class Teacher to join our welcoming and supportive primary school community in Watford from September 2026.
About the Role
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for a Year 4 class, delivering engaging and creative lessons that inspire a love of learning and support all pupils to achieve their full potential. You will be committed to maintaining high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour while fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum
*Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress, ensuring all learners are supported and challenged appropriately
*Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment
*Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents/carers
*Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and school events
*Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote the welfare of all pupils
The Ideal Candidate Will:
*Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*Have experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (preferably Year 4)
*Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
*Be passionate about delivering engaging and creative lessons
*Have high expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour
*Be a team player with excellent communication skills
*Show commitment to ongoing professional development
