Veritas Education is working with a welcoming Primary School close to Lancaster that is seeking a part-time Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join their team from April until the end of term. This is an excellent long-term opportunity to support pupils through a key stage in their learning.
Start Date: AprilHours: 08:45 - 12:00, Monday to FridayLocation: Primary School near LancasterYear Group: Year 6Contract: Long-term (through to end of term)About the RoleThe successful candidate will work every morning supporting both the class teacher and Year 6 pupils. Responsibilities will include:
*Providing one-to-one support for targeted pupils
*Delivering small group intervention work
*Assisting the teacher with classroom activities and preparation
*Helping to boost pupil confidence and attainment in core subjects
What We’re Looking For*Experience supporting pupils in KS2 (Year 6 experience desirable)
*Strong skills in Maths and English
*A supportive, positive, and proactive attitude
*Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
*Reliability and commitment to the morning schedule
