We’re Hiring: Fire Pump Engineer (UK)
Are you an experienced Diesel Engine Engineer or Pump Specialist looking to step into a role with real impact, long-term stability, and industry-leading training?
Join our Fire Suppression team at Johnson Controls, where you’ll work with cutting-edge fire pump systems that protect commercial, industrial, public sector, and blue-chip clients across the Midlands.
What You Will Do
As a Field-Based Fire Pump Engineer, you will:
*Service, maintain, commission, and install fire pump equipment across a wide range of sectors.
*Work on diesel-driven pump systems, ensuring reliability and compliance.
*Troubleshoot, fault-find, and carry out repairs with a strong focus on quality.
*Uphold best practices in health and safety.
*Deliver exceptional customer service as a trusted technical expert.

How You Will Do It
You’ll carry out the servicing, repair, diagnostics, and installation of diesel-driven and electric fire pump systems across customer sites in the Midlands, ensuring all work meets compliance standards and customer expectations.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills
*Strong experience in diesel engine servicing, repair & fault-finding
*Experience in pumps such as drainage, sewage, fuel transfer, or similar
*Candidates without fire pump experience are welcome if they have strong diesel engine capability
*Confident using tablets/phones for job management
*Excellent attention to detail and pride in high-quality workmanship
*Customer-focused with a proactive attitude
*Full UK driving licence
*Ability to work effectively within a diverse team
Who This Role Is Ideal For
*Diesel mechanics or diesel service engineers
*Engineers from pump, generator, marine, or heavy-equipment backgrounds
*Technicians seeking to enter the fire protection & life-safety industry
