About the Role:
We are currently seeking reliable and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work across a range of mainstream secondary schools in the South Birmingham area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in education, whether you are considering a future in teaching or already have classroom experience.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set work in the absence of the regular class teacher, ensuring that students remain on task and that a positive learning environment is maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
*Supervising whole classes during teacher absences

*Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials

*Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies

*Supporting students to stay engaged with their work

*Reporting back to teaching staff on lesson outcomes and any issues

Requirements:
*Previous experience working with young people or in a school setting is highly desirable

*Strong communication and classroom management skills

*A confident and proactive approach

*Ability to adapt to different school environments and subjects

Additional Information:
*A valid driving licence is not essential but is highly desirable due to the variety of school locations

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
