Job Description:
We are a small, friendly and fun office based in the Surrey Hills/Cranleigh area, looking to fill two book keeper positions and are looking for people with a ’can do’ attitude and a willingness to help out above and beyond.
Duties to include:
· Processing accounts to Trial Balance
· Petty Cash
· Payroll, accrual and prepayment journals
· Processing CIS and VAT
· Bank reconciliation
· Control account reconciliation
· Production of reports according to Clients’ requirements e.g weekly sales figures, monthly profit and loss and balance sheet reports, ad hoc debtor and creditor reports
· Dealing with queries
· Face to face meetings
· Access to client bank accounts
· Providing holiday cover for other staff members
Essential Skills/Experience:
· Flexibility to deal with accounts across different sectors, e.g. retail, building, wholesale, marketing, printing
· Ability to work independently, prioritise and manage your workload on a day to day basis
· Calm and organized approach to work essential in what can sometimes be a hectic environment
· Ability to communicate with clients and external bodies e.g. HMRC and external Auditor
· Use of Sage, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Reporting to Head of Accounts.
Salary : £17 per hour
Hours of Work : 9-5pm 3 days per week or 2 days per week (two positions available)
Applicant should be dog friendly as the owners dog is in the office. Car essential due to location.
