Job Description:
JOB PURPOSE
To assist in the general management and valuations of the company’s land and property holdings, including disposal of Council houses under Right to Buy legislation.
Roles & Responsibilities
*Manage the day-to-day operations of the company’s commercial property portfolio.
*Negotiate leases, rent reviews, renewals, and property agreements.
*Handle buying and selling of land and property, including legal negotiations.
*Conduct property inspections, surveys, and valuations.
*Support Right-to-Buy cases (valuations, reports, appeals).
*Carry out valuations and appraisals for different company’s departments.
*Maintain accurate property records and databases.
*Help advertise and market available properties.
*Manage budgets, service charges, and cost centres.
*Ensure confidentiality and compliance, while supporting training and development.
Essential Skills & Experience
*Experience in property/estate management (consultancy, council, or corporate).
*Background in managing commercial properties (office, retail, industrial).
*Experience in valuations, acquisitions, and disposals.
*Knowledge of property law, planning, and valuation principles.
*Degree or qualification recognised by RICS (or equivalent).
*Strong IT skills, especially Excel and property management systems.
*Ability to analyse data and produce reports.
*Good communication and negotiation skills.
*Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
*Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work well in a team.
