Learning Facilitators - SEN Provisions
Flexible / Supply Work Across the South West
Are you passionate about supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning? We are recruiting Learning Facilitators to work on a flexible, supply basis across a range of specialist SEN provisions throughout the South West.
This is a highly rewarding role, ideal for individuals who are patient, resilient, and committed to helping students re-engage with education in nurturing and structured environments.
About the Settings
You will be working across a variety of specialist provisions that support pupils with a range of complex additional needs. These settings follow highly structured, trauma-informed, and relationship-led approaches, with a strong focus on consistency, emotional regulation, and positive outcomes.
With small class sizes and high staff-to-student ratios, each setting ensures pupils receive personalised support tailored to their individual needs.
About the Pupils
Students across these provisions may present with:
* Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
* Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
* ADHD and associated behavioural needs
* Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
* Trauma backgrounds and disrupted educational experiences
Pupils may display behaviours linked to anxiety, dysregulation, or difficulties with attachment and trust. A calm, empathetic, and consistent approach is essential.
The Role
As a Learning Facilitator, you will:
* Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
* Facilitate learning activities set by the teacher, adapting where necessary
* Help pupils regulate emotions and engage positively in lessons
* Build strong, trusting relationships to support personal development
* Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals
Opportunities Available
* Flexible, day-to-day supply work across multiple settings
* Opportunities for longer-term placements where desired
* Work that fits around your availability and preferences
* Ongoing support and CPD opportunities
The Ideal Candidate
* Experience working with children or young people with additional needs
* A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* A good understanding of behaviour management strategies
* A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
