Job Description:
Finance Business Partner – London (3 days a week) - Salary to £65,000
A brilliant commercially focused finance role supporting a fast-paced, multi-site retail business, a company offer a career and not just a job, most of the employees here have some brilliant tenure under their belts.
Working closely with senior operational leaders, you’ll play a key role in driving performance across a national store network. You’ll combine strong financial control with real commercial insight, helping leadership teams understand performance, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions that support profitable growth.

Commercial Partnering & Performance
*Partner closely with senior stakeholders across operations, trading and product teams
*Provide clear financial insight to support decision-making across stores and head office
*Develop meaningful KPIs to drive sales, margin and operational efficiency
*Use data and analytics to identify trends, risks and opportunities across the retail estate
*Support pricing decisions, promotional activity and investment appraisals
Planning, Reporting & Analysis
*Lead the budgeting and reforecasting cycles across multiple locations
*Produce monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis and actionable commentary
*Deliver concise and insightful business performance packs for senior leadership
*Own the month-end process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
*Conduct balance sheet reviews and maintain strong financial governance
Operational & Financial Control
*Monitor and improve working capital performance, including stock, debtors and cashflow
*Provide financial oversight on store openings, closures and refurbishments
*Ensure robust controls are in place across revenue, costs and store-level reporting
*Support continuous improvement of financial processes and systems
Ad Hoc & Strategic Support
*Deliver detailed financial modelling and analysis to support strategic initiatives
*Assist with business cases for new sites, partnerships or growth opportunities
*Contribute to ongoing improvements in reporting, tools and data utilisation
A bit about you....
*Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
*Circa 3+ years’ post-qualified experience in a commercially focused finance role
*Background in multi-site retail, hospitality or a similar operational environment would be an advantage
*Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate numbers into clear insight
*Confident communicator, comfortable working with senior non-finance stakeholders
*Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems (e.g. SAP or similar)
Desirable:
*Experience using Power BI or similar data visualisation tools
*Exposure to stock-driven or high-volume retail environments
