Grace Garden School, nestled on the outskirts of Bristol, is a nurturing and inspiring environment for young people aged 7–16 with complex needs. Through our agency, we are seeking compassionate Learning Support Assistants to join the school throughout the summer term.

Seasonal rhythms guide the curriculum, bringing in English, maths, science and social skills through hands-on activities that help pupils understand themselves, their community, and the world around them.

About the RoleAs a Learning Support Assistant, you will support pupils in both outdoor and classroom environments, helping them engage with learning in meaningful, practical ways.
Key Responsibilities*Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups during outdoor and indoor lessons
*Assist with gardening, crafts, nature exploration and practical learning activities
*Help pupils embed academic skills through hands-on tasks
*Encourage communication, independence and emotional regulation
*Work closely with teachers and outdoor-learning practitioners
*Contribute to a calm, nurturing, and inclusive environment

*Individuals comfortable working outdoors in all seasons
*Empathy, patience and resilience
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*A genuine interest in SEN and holistic, experiential learning
*Experience with children or young people (advantageous but not essential)
