Their Leeds site is home to the UK’s largest in-house sewing and display team, where innovation meets craftsmanship.
The Role
As an Accounts Assistant / Credit Controller, you’ll play a key role in supporting the finance function while taking ownership of credit control activities. This is a varied, hands-on position where you’ll help maintain strong cash flow and build positive customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
*Managing customer accounts and monitoring overdue invoices
*Chasing payments and resolving billing queries professionally
*Allocating payments and reconciling sales ledgers
*Carrying out credit checks and setting credit limits
*Processing sales, purchase and self-billing invoices
*Completing daily bank reconciliations
*Supporting month-end processes and aged debtor reporting
*Maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with admin
*Escalating complex accounts when needed
About You
*2-3 years’ experience in a finance role (credit control essential)
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
*Confident communicator with a professional phone manner
*Good Excel skills and experience with accounting software (e.g. Xero)
*Solid understanding of VAT, reconciliations and accounting basics
*Proactive, reliable and able to meet deadlines
