Job Description:
Accounts Administrator
*Annual Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 (DOE)
*Location: Newport, Wales
*Job Type: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days work from home after training)

Day-to-day of the role:
*Process Travel & Expenses submissions and respond to related queries.
*Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
*Assist in preparing financial reports and statements.
*Maintain organised and compliant filing systems for financial documentation.
*Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support smooth financial operations.
*Resolve queries related to financial transactions in a timely manner.
*Support continuous improvement of financial processes and procedures.
*Create payment runs in line with monthly schedules.
*Reconcile bank statements and investigate discrepancies.
*Maintain employee data in accordance with data protection standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Previous experience in an accounting or finance role, ideally within a shared service centre.
*Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
*Professional accounting qualification (e.g., AAT) or working towards accreditation.
*High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
*Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
*Excellent time management and organisational abilities.
*Ability to work independently using initiative, as well as collaboratively within a team.
Desirable Skills:
*Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
*Familiarity with travel expense platforms such as Chrome River, Concur, or SAP.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
*Understanding of financial compliance requirements.
*Customer-focused approach and positive attitude.
*Problem-solving mindset and willingness to support continuous improvement.
