Temporary Kitchen Assistant – School Environment
Monday to Friday - 10:30am – 1:30pm - up to £14.45 per hour
We are looking for a dependable Temporary Kitchen Assistant to support a busy school kitchen team. This temporary role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a structured, friendly environment and is available for daytime hours during the school week.
Key Responsibilities
*Assist with basic food preparation
*Support the cook during busy service periods
*Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment, and serving areas
*Serve meals to pupils and staff
*Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures
Requirements
*Enhanced DBS – essential
*Food Hygiene Certificate – essential
*Previous catering or school kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential
*Ability to work efficiently and follow instructions
*Positive, reliable, and team-focused attitude
Hours & Pay
*Monday to Friday, 10:30am – 1:30pm
*Up to £14.45 per hour
