Job Title: Paraplanner (Progression to Adviser)
Location: Derbyshire (Hybrid available)
Salary: £28,000 – £36,000 per annum (DOE)

About the Role:An established and growing financial advisory firm is seeking a motivated Paraplanner with 2–3 years’ experience to join their team on a permanent basis.
The company offers a modern, forward-thinking approach to financial planning, specialising in pensions and investments, while maintaining the personal service of a traditional advisory firm.
This is an excellent opportunity for a career-driven paraplanner looking to progress into an adviser role, with structured support, exposure to client interactions, and ongoing professional development. You will play a key role in supporting advisers while gradually developing the skills and experience required to transition into a client-facing position.
Responsibilities:*Producing high-quality suitability reports across pensions, investments, and protection
*Carrying out detailed technical research and analysis using provider platforms and tools including FE Analytics
*Preparing and maintaining compliant client files
*Assisting with cashflow modelling and financial planning projections (training provided if required)
*Supporting advisers with technical queries and attending client meetings where appropriate to build advisory experience
*Processing and monitoring new business applications through to completion
*Maintaining accurate client records on the back-office system
*Liaising with clients and providers in a professional and timely manner
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:*2–3 years’ paraplanning experience within an IFA or wealth management firm
*Level 4 Diploma qualified (or actively working towards it)
*Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments, and tax wrappers (e.g. ISAs, CGT, DB schemes, protection)
*A clear ambition to progress into a financial adviser role
*Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to recommend suitable solutions
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*A proactive, detail-oriented approach and the ability to work both independently and within a team
