Job Description:
James Phillip Recruitment are working with a City of London based IFA firm looking for an Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day functions of the business, ensuring operational excellence across the business. The Operations Manager bridges the gap between high-level strategy and daily execution, managing the business, optimising workflows and ensuring the firm remains compliant and profitable.
The Role
Finance & Accounting
• Ensure the income of the business is reconciled in the CRM
• Assist with the production of Management and Company Accounts
• Monthly payroll
• P11D compliance
• Introducer Payments
• Company bank reconciliation
• Manage the third-party tech stack
Regulation & Compliance
• Submit GABRIEL
• Maintain Appointed Representative compliance
• Liaise with the FCA to ensure the firm is compliant
• Maintain CPD compliance
• Chartered renewal
• Chair the Investment Committee
• Chair the Proposition Committee
• Run Adviser 121 meetings
• Liaise with our compliance consultants
• PII submission
• Run the T&C scheme
• Monitor File reviews
• Management Information (MI)
HR
• Recruitment
• Employment contracts and staff handbook
• Staff Annual Reviews
• Manage and organise staff incentive
The Ideal Candidate:
Essential experience and qualifications:
• 5+ years in an operations or Senior Admin role within a regulated business
• Demonstrable track record of managing a small-to-medium-sized teams
• A degree-level education
• Level 4 Diploma, Prince 2, recognisable accounting qualification preferrable
• Tech-Savvy with advanced Excel skills and experience with back-office financial software
We are looking for a bright, organised and diligent individual who will:
• Work well in a team
• Demonstrate impeccable attention to detail
• Manage their time effectively
• Use a systematic and methodical approach to their tasks
