JHE & Partners are delighted to be working exclusively with a local, Bradford manufacturer who are looking for a purchase ledger clerk on a permanent basis working a 30-hour week. This is a lovely role, working in a small finance team, working for a business that truly values its staff, doing exceptionally well in their field.
Reporting into a lovely and supportive FC, the chosen candidate will have full responsibility for the ledger on an end-to-end basis. Applicants must have a very good level of purchase ledger experience; manufacturing experience is desirable but by no means essential and the client is open to seeing candidates from a range of sectors. The role is integral to the finance function to provide accurate and timely month-end reports for the wider finance team.
The role is office-based but working 30 hours per week. The client is open to looking at working rotas with the role generally requiring someone for 4 - 5 days per week, however some flexibility can be given.
Duties include:
* Full responsibility for the purchase ledger processing c800 invoices per month
* Matching, batching and coding purchase invoices
* Reconcile supplier statements
* Process payments
* Manage the weekly BACS payment run, ensuring suppliers are paid in a timely manner
* Managing the weekly foreign payment run for UK imports
* Post cash to paid vendor cards
* Review the aged creditors report monthly
* Dealing with all queries relating to the ledger and payments
* Working with the wider finance team and purchasing dept regarding approvals
Person spec:
* Experience working in a PL dept or a standalone role
* Experience of bank reconciliations
* Ability to work as part of a wider team
* Organised with ability to prioritise workloads
* Proven ability to take ownership of the ledger and really the position your own
Salary on offer is paying in the region of £28,000 - £30,000 (pro rata). Holidays on offer are 25 + bank, an excellent social programme, auto enrolled pension, health and well-being program, free parking.
