Personal Care Teaching Assistant

About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Teaching Assistant to support students with additional needs in a welcoming school environment in Northampton. This role involves both classroom support and assisting with personal care, ensuring students can fully access education in a safe and supportive setting.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with special educational needs (SEN)
*Assist with personal care needs, including toileting, feeding, and hygiene
*Support students with mobility and physical needs
*Help implement individual education plans (IEPs)
*Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to monitor progress
*Promote independence, dignity, and well-being at all times
Requirements
*Experience working with children or young people is preferred
*Willingness to provide personal care support
*Patient, empathetic, and positive approach
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential
