Orka Financial is looking to hire a Senior Credit Controller for their client based in Reading.
This role will be responsible for managing a high-value debtor portfolio, ensuring timely cash collection, and supporting strong organisational cashflow.
The Senior Credit Controller position involves overseeing complex accounts, resolving escalated issues, and providing leadership within the credit control function, while working closely with internal teams to improve debtor performance and reduce aged debt.
*Manage a portfolio of key customer accounts, focusing on reducing aged debt and maximising cash collection
*Carry out proactive credit control activities, including phone calls, email correspondence, and account reconciliations
*Handle complex and escalated debtor issues, resolving disputes in a timely and professional manner
*Monitor overdue accounts and implement effective collection strategies to minimise risk
*Review and manage customer credit limits
*Conduct credit risk assessments for new and existing customers, escalating concerns where necessary
*Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account records
*Produce weekly and monthly debtor reports, including ageing analysis and cashflow forecasts
*Analyse payment trends to identify risks and opportunities for process improvement
Experience
*Proven experience supporting a credit function
*Strong understanding of credit risk, collections processes, and account reconciliation
*CICM qualification (or working towards) is desirable.
*Experience working with large, complex or high-value accounts
Salary up to £38,000 - hybrid working model
