Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Start Date: Wednesday 2nd September 2026
End Date: Wednesday 21st July 2027 with the view to move onto a permanent contract
Location: Bolton – BL2
Contract: Full-time (8.30am-3.30pm)
A warm, inclusive, and community-centred primary school in the Bolton (BL2) area is working closely with Teaching Personnel to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to provide high-quality classroom support across EYFS and KS1.
This full-time position begins September 2026 and will run for the full academic year, with opportunities for continuation into the next academic year.
About the Role
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play a key part in ensuring pupils receive engaging, consistent, and well-supported learning. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing high-quality support across EYFS-KS1 classrooms (EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2)
- Leading small groups and delivering focused interventions
- Receive training for specific interventions within the school
- Assisting with behaviour management and promoting a positive learning environment
- Supporting class teachers with lesson delivery and adapted activities
- Providing occasional classroom cover where required
- Differentiating work to meet the needs of pupils with varying learning abilities
- Working collaboratively with the teaching teams and following school expectations

We Are Looking for Someone Who:
- Holds a Level 3 TA qualification (or equivalent)
- Has experience supporting learning across all Key Stage environments
- Can confidently support groups and individuals
- Is adaptable, proactive, and committed to pupil progress
- Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills
- Is nurturing, reliable, and passionate about inclusive education
- Shows resilience and a positive, solution-focused attitude

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
