Job Description:
Are you the kind of teacher who brings calm into the chaos, builds trust, and makes every child feel safe?
We’re on the lookout for SEN and SEMH teachers across Teesside who lead with empathy and consistency.
Whether you’ve worked in specialist settings for years or you’re ready to take your skills into a more focused, supportive environment, we’re working with schools that genuinely value what you bring.
These are places where relationships come first, routines matter, and every small win is celebrated.
What our schools offer:
*Warm, trauma-informed environments where staff are supported as much as students
*Ongoing CPD and specialist training to help you grow
*Calm, structured classrooms with clear routines
*Leadership teams who listen and back their staff
*Real opportunities to change lives, every single day
What they’re looking for:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
*Experience supporting young people with additional needs or behavioural challenges
*Confidence using strategies like de-escalation and restorative approaches
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills
*A nurturing but structured approach
*A teaching qualification and a passion for inclusive education
What Protocol Education offers:
*Competitive daily rates
*Free access to specialist training, including Team Teach and Thrive
*A consultant who understands the SEN and SEMH space
*Local roles where your impact is recognised
*£50 referral bonus when you recommend a friend

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
