You will be working in the Building Services OU based in Sutton in Ashfield in Mansfield Hopital where we are responsible for creating healthy workplaces, comfortable homes and efficient facilities that improve people’s lives. We are currently looking for a Decontamination Technician and Authorised Person who will provide specific support to the sterile services department reporting to the Steriliser Technician Engineer for all matters relating to decontamination
As the Decontamination Technician and Authorised Person, you will:
*Take responsibility for calibration on a wide range of decontamination equipment and associated plant.
*Undertake testing maintenance, repair, minor improvement and capital work within the decontamination field, as directed by management, ensuring compliance with legislation and guidance.
*To be responsible for the compilation of reports for the validation and periodic testing of all decontamination equipment in accordance with the current Health Technical Memoranda and to interpret and work in accordance with the requirements of the legislation and guidance,
*To provide encouragement within a small team of qualified Test Persons in the implementation of planned maintenance and testing schedule in accordance with legislation and guidance for decontamination equipment
We are looking for:
*Hold a full UK driving licence.
*Evidence of working within acute health care premises would be advantageous
*The post holder will have an ability to communicate and co-ordinate tasks effectively.
*Holds a qualification in Large porous loads sterilizers testing - Quarterly testing (to NHS guidance).
*Holds a qualification in washer disinfector testing - Periodic testing (to NHS guidance).
