Technology Director - Home Affairs Consulting

London (Hybrid)

£130,000-£150,000 base + bonus + cash allowance

Our client, a major UK consultancy, is expanding its Public Sector practice and is seeking a Technology Director to lead complex digital and technology-enabled transformation across Home Affairs and Justice organisations. This is a senior leadership role, shaping multi-million-pound programmes that modernise critical services across Home Office, policing, justice and related bodies.

The ideal Technology Director will have:
• Deep experience in Home Affairs / Justice or wider UK public sector, with a strong network across organisations such as Home Office, policing bodies and justice agencies.
• A proven track record of selling and delivering technology-enabled transformation programmes, including digital transformation, cloud-based enterprise applications and complex IT change.
• Broad knowledge of modern technology stacks, including cloud platforms, enterprise applications and integration architectures, and how they combine to deliver tangible client outcomes.
• Demonstrable experience leading senior client interactions, influencing stakeholders at board and executive level and acting as a visible technology transformation leader in the market.
• Strong commercial acumen, comfortable owning revenue targets, driving pipeline and shaping propositions in competitive public-sector markets.

As Technology Director you will:
• Lead the design, sale and delivery of large-scale technology transformation programmes, from digital platforms to complex IT and cloud solutions, across Home Affairs clients.
• Work closely with partners and senior client stakeholders to shape technology strategy, architect end-to-end solutions and see them through the full sales cycle into successful delivery.
• Navigate the evolving technology landscape (cloud, data, AI and emerging tech) to create best-of-breed solutions that reduce complexity, enable scale and unlock measurable business value.
• Build and lead multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring high-quality delivery across multiple concurrent workstreams in demanding public-sector environments.
• Act as a trusted adviser to CxO-level stakeholders, representing the consultancy in the market, leading bids, shaping propositions and contributing to overall practice growth.

The package:
• £130,000-£150,000 base salary (depending on experience)
• Annual bonus
• Cash allowance
• Pension and flexible benefits, plus hybrid working with time split between London office, client site and home.
