The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Management Accountant to support the finance team in delivering accurate financial reporting and analysis. This role is ideal for a part-qualified accountant looking to develop within a dynamic, high-growth e-commerce environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
*Support budgeting and forecasting processes across departments
*Perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights
*Prepare and post journals, accruals, and prepayments
*Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies
*Assist with cash flow forecasting and working capital management
*Partner with operational teams (e.g. marketing, logistics) to track performance
*Support year-end audit and statutory reporting requirements
*Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives
*Work with large datasets from e-commerce platforms (e.g. sales, returns, fees)
Key Requirements *Studying towards a professional qualification (e.g. ACCA / CIMA / ACA)
*Previous experience in a finance or accounting role
*Strong Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, lookups)
*Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
*High attention to detail and accuracy
*Ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment
*Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement
Desirable Skills *Experience in e-commerce, retail, or tech sectors
*Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)
*Exposure to multi-currency accounting
*Knowledge of data tools (e.g. Power BI, SQL)
