Data Procurement & Due Diligence Analyst (Automation-Focused)
Overview
We are looking for a technically strong and detail-oriented professional to join a growing function supporting data procurement and vendor due diligence activities. This role has a strong focus on automation, workflow optimisation, and management reporting.
This is a unique opportunity to combine hands-on procurement and due diligence responsibilities with the design and implementation of scalable solutions using Python, SQL, and workflow tools. You will play a key role in streamlining processes, building dashboards, and enhancing reporting across vendor governance activities.
Over time, the role will evolve to include direct engagement with data vendors and senior stakeholders, including involvement in commercial discussions and contract negotiations.
Key Responsibilities
Automation, Data & Reporting
*Develop and maintain automated workflows for procurement and due diligence processes using Python, SQL, and workflow tools (e.g. Jira).
*Build dashboards and automated management reports to track vendor onboarding, due diligence status, contract renewals, and cost allocations.
*Identify and implement opportunities to streamline manual processes, including vendor data catalogues, cost allocation methodologies, and contract renewal tracking.
Due Diligence
*Conduct onboarding and ongoing due diligence on brokerage service providers, custodians, administrators, and other key vendors.
*Manage the full due diligence lifecycle, from RFQ through to report production.
*Maintain robust documentation, controls, and audit trails.
Procurement
*Support procurement workflows including requirement gathering, vendor coordination, and process tracking.
*Liaise with exchanges and vendors to support onboarding and relationship management.
*Manage contract renewals and support monthly cost allocation processes using automation tools.
*Lead regular team meetings to review upcoming renewals and coordinate with internal stakeholders and vendors.
Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement (Progression)
*Build relationships with internal stakeholders and external data vendors.
*Support and eventually lead commercial discussions, including pricing negotiations and contract terms.
Skills & Experience
*Strong technical capability in Python and SQL (essential).
*Experience building automations, dashboards, or workflow tools (e.g. Jira or similar).
*Background in procurement, vendor management, or due diligence within financial services.
*Understanding of brokerage, custodians, administrators, or data vendors is advantageous.
*Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
*Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
