Job Description:
Finance Manager
We’re looking for a Finance Manager to take ownership of financial reporting and insight for Supply Chain direct costs within a fast-growing, dynamic business. This role partners closely with Supply Chain and operational teams, but prior supply chain experience isn’t essential. Instead, we’re seeking a strong finance professional who brings rigorous management accounting, sharp commercial insight, and confident business partnering to a critical area of the organisation.
This is a high-impact role that will help shape how costs are managed, forecasts are built, and strategic decisions are supported as the business continues to scale.
Responsibilities:
*Own financial reporting for Supply Chain direct costs, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and relevance.
*Partner with Supply Chain, Commercial Finance, and external logistics partners to challenge performance against budgets and forecasts, supporting effective decision-making.
*Lead forecasting cycles, ensuring key cost drivers, seasonality, and operational inputs are accurately reflected.
*Design and deliver monthly management accounts, alongside weekly and monthly performance reporting.
*Provide clear financial analysis and commentary, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
*Develop and maintain KPIs to track performance and profitability across the Supply Chain cost base.
*Drive continuous improvement across processes, data models, and automation to support business growth.
*Support balance sheet integrity and lead external audit queries for your area.
*Manage and mentor a team of junior accountants, fostering development and high performance.
Requirements:
*ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification, with strong management accounting experience.
*Proven experience in finance roles within high-growth, fast-paced environments (e-commerce, retail, FMCG, or similar).
*Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
*Advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP).
*Working knowledge of BI tools (Looker, Power BI, Tableau) and exposure to SQL or Python.
*Confident business partnering skills, with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
*Experience managing and developing finance professionals.
*A commercial mindset, balancing strategic objectives with operational delivery.
*Comfortable operating in ambiguity; proactive, hands-on, and solutions-focused.
