Facilities Assistant - School (Temporary to Permanent) Location: Hackney
Salary: Competitive
Contract: Temporary (with opportunity to go Permanent)
About the RoleWe’re looking for a Facilities Assistant to join a friendly school based in Hackney. This is a great opportunity for someone with basic school facilities or site maintenance experience who’s looking to secure a long-term role with potential for permanency.
Key Responsibilities*Assist with the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of school buildings and grounds
*Carry out basic repairs, cleaning, and general site duties
*Support with setting up rooms and equipment for school activities
*Ensure the premises are safe, secure, and well-presented at all times
*Help monitor contractors and deliveries when required
Requirements*Previous experience in a school facilities, caretaking, or maintenance role
*A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
*Good communication and teamwork skills
*Reliability and attention to detail
*An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
