Job Description:
This is a senior finance leadership role within a growing operational business delivering essential services. The position offers the opportunity to have a real impact on performance, decision-making, and long-term planning, while leading and developing a capable finance function.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality financial reporting, providing commercial insight to senior stakeholders, and supporting strategic and operational objectives across the business.
Key Responsibilities*Lead, manage, and develop the Finance and Administration teams
*Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts
*Work closely with senior leaders on budgets, forecasts, and financial planning
*Oversee cashflow management and forecasting to support operational needs
*Provide clear financial insight to improve profitability and commercial performance
*Support pricing decisions and input into tender and bid submissions
*Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
*Manage and coordinate the annual external audit
*Ensure compliance with financial policies, controls, and governance requirements
Experience & Qualifications*Fully qualified accountant (CIMA or ACCA)
*Strong experience producing management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
*Proven capability in cashflow management and financial planning
*Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing finance teams
*Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
*Commercially minded, proactive, and comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels
