We’re looking for an experienced Ocean Import Operator to join a fast-growing and highly respected freight forwarding team based near Manchester Airport.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least 2 years’ experience in ocean imports who wants to join a company that truly values its people, offers a fantastic culture, and offers progression.
You’ll be responsible for managing ocean import shipments from start to finish, working closely with customers, overseas agents, and internal teams to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage end-to-end ocean import shipments
*Liaise with overseas agents, shipping lines, and customers
*Arrange customs clearance and delivery
*Monitor shipments and provide proactive updates to clients
*Handle documentation and compliance requirements
*Resolve shipment issues and ensure excellent customer service
*Maintain accurate records within the internal freight system
Requirements
*Minimum 2 years’ experience in Ocean Import Operations within a freight forwarding environment
*Strong knowledge of import processes and documentation
*Excellent organisation and communication skills
*Ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment
*Positive team attitude and customer-focused mindset
