Director - Crisis Management & Scenario Testing
We are currently recruiting for a Director/Programme Manager with strong Crisis Management & Scenario Testing experience to join one of our Insurance clients on a 6-month contract.
Inside IR35 - Hybrid- London based
Responsibilities
*Lead the global crisis management strategy, governance, escalation processes and response framework
*Design and deliver the global scenario testing programme (tabletops, drills, supplier exercises)
*Facilitate real-time response to major disruption events, chairing crisis calls and coordinating cross-functional teams
*Oversee client and regulatory communications during incidents
*Maintain crisis playbooks, decision logs, and audit-ready documentation
*Partner with Technology, Risk, Operations and senior leaders to strengthen organisational readiness
*Deliver training, awareness and ongoing improvements to crisis response capability
*Produce executive-level reporting on crisis trends, lessons learned and remediation
Experience
*10+ years leading enterprise-wide crisis management in a global organisation
*Proven experience managing major incidents across multiple regions and time zones
*Strong understanding of operational resilience regulations (FCA, DORA, NIST, etc.)
*Experience designing and running crisis scenarios and testing programmes
*Excellent communication skills, able to brief executives, boards and regulators
*Financial services background required; insurance experience preferred
*Certifications such as CBCP, MBCI or DRI are an advantage
