A well-established professional services firm is looking to recruit a Trainee Tax Adviser to join its tax team in Bury St Edmunds. The firm offers a collaborative environment, bringing together expertise across accountancy, tax, legal and financial services.
This role provides a structured training programme combining practical experience with professional qualifications (CTA), with full study support and exam costs covered.
The role
*Preparing self-assessment tax returns and calculations for individuals and trusts
*Drafting correspondence with clients, HMRC and third parties
*Ensuring work meets internal quality standards and addressing review points
*Supporting client work, including research and ad hoc projects
*Assisting with client queries, meetings and general administration
*Managing deadlines and workload effectively

About you
*A-level or graduate calibre
*Strong academic background (including Maths and English)
*Interested in pursuing a career in tax
*Good attention to detail and problem-solving ability
*Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
