Job Description:
Assistant Accountant (Fixed Term Contract – Until 31 December)
Sharp Consultancy are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join an established finance team on a fixed term contract running until the end of the year. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment and contribute to a busy, supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
*Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
*Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
*Process journals, accruals, and prepayments.
*Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.
*Maintain accurate financial records and support the year-end process.
*Assist with costings, stock control, and manufacturing reporting.
*Provide financial support to operational teams as required.
*Support the wider finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects.
About You
*Studying AAT or part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA) – desirable but not essential.
*Previous experience in an accounting or finance support role.
*Strong Excel skills and good attention to detail.
*Experience of using SAP (desirable).
*Experience within manufacturing is beneficial but not essential.
*Excellent communication skills and a proactive, hands-on approach.
*You’ll be available for interview on 9th or 14th April.
