Administrator
*Job Type: Temporary, Full-time
*Location: Rochdale, OL16 1XU
*Duration: 3 months
*Pay: £13.45 per hour PAYE
*Working Hours: 8:45am - 4:45pm (Office Based)
Rochdale Council are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Administrator to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy, target-driven environment and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service. You will play a crucial role in supporting a team that handles a diverse range of licensing regulatory functions, where accuracy and effective communication are paramount.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Implement the council’s approved policies and statutory duties related to Public Protection as required.
*Guide, receive, and scrutinise applications for all licenses and registrations within the Public Protection Section.
*Manage interactions with the public and other customers at the reception desk and via telephone, liaising with external agencies such as the Police and Fire Service.
*Handle the receipt and preparation for banking of all fees and other miscellaneous income, adhering to Service and Council procedures.
*Process and record requests for the Section’s services, maintaining both manual and computer-based formats.
*Maintain statutory and non-statutory service registers.
*Collect and process management information and other data.
*Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence and documentation.
*Perform data inputting and transfer, and assist in maintaining the Section’s files and filing systems.
*Contribute to the development and use of IT systems relevant to the role.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in administrative support within a regulatory or similar environment.
*Excellent communication and numeracy skills.
*Ability to work effectively in a team and deliver high-quality customer service.
*Proficiency in using IT systems and handling complex information accurately.
*Experience in handling confidential and sensitive information.
