Quality Engineer, Exeter
Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer within a leading manufacturer in the Exeter area. This role provides leadership and guidance across the organisation, acting as a change agent to drive process improvement and support operational excellence. The role would suit either a recent graduate, or an experienced professional.
Key Responsibilities
*Assess the effectiveness of business systems against customer and industry standards through internal audits and corrective/preventative action processes
*Develop, maintain, and implement quality system procedures and work instructions in line with regulatory and customer requirements
*Lead purchase order and specification reviews, including interpretation and translation of requirements to operational level
*Act as a customer advocate, ensuring expectations are understood and met
*Drive process improvement initiatives, including reduction of non-conformances and implementation of corrective actions
*Ensure completion and submission of customer verification requirements (e.g., FAIR documentation)
*Carry out additional duties as required within the scope of the role
Requirements
*Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
*Experience in Quality Engineering
*Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, inspection, and engineering principles
*Proven problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
*Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies
*Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
*Good IT and computer skills
Package
*Salary £36,000 - £45,000 dependant on experience
